Responsibilities

  • Assist a licensed Special Education teacher in implementing instructional programs for students.
  • Prepare instructional materials as needed for classroom activities.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and support a positive learning environment.
  • Lead planned activities designated by the licensed teacher or SPED Aide.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid WI SPED Aide License through the WI DPI (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Submit a TB test/assessment form.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience working with people with autism.
  • Paraprofessional Certification.
