Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and support to students with special needs in a school setting.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Special Education program.
  • Valid HI SpEd Teaching Credential with Special Education Endorsement.
  • Preferred school experience in special education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
