The Substitute Teacher Associate position at Martensdale-St. Marys Community School District involves assisting and supporting teachers in the education of children across various settings, including regular education, special education, and transportation. The role is supervised by the building principal and designated teachers, focusing on student supervision, classroom management, and maintaining communication regarding student-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of students in the classroom and other areas of the school facility, including bus arrival/dismissal, lunch, recess, and school-related activities.
• Work with individuals or groups of students under the teacher's direction, assisting with daily work and assessments.
• Assist students with technology, including audio-visual and adaptive educational equipment.
• Maintain records for individual students and keep teachers informed of relevant student-related matters.
• Attend scheduled training sessions and perform duties as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to relate to all children regardless of needs and/or abilities.
• Possess collaborative and interpersonal skills.
