The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a dedicated and passionate substitute teacher to work with at-risk adolescents in residential facilities managed by the Central Region of the Department of Youth Services. Responsibilities

  • Provide effective, high-quality, direct educational instruction to youth assigned to DYS.
  • Participate and implement effective instructional strategies and research-based curriculum.
  • Provide substitute teaching instruction, which may involve traveling between locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or a MA teacher license is required.
  • Background in Math and/or Science is a plus.
  • Passion for teaching youth who have been placed at risk.
  • Experience in teaching small, personalized classes focusing on academic and behavioral success.
