About the position

The Substitute Teacher position with ESS in partnership with Clare-Gladwin RESD and local school districts is designed for individuals who enjoy working with children and have at least 60 college credits. This role is essential for maintaining the educational program when regular teachers are absent, allowing substitutes to enhance their teaching skills while contributing to the learning experience of students.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration

Requirements

• Completion of at least 60 college/university credit hours
• FBI Criminal History Clearance
• A Michigan Substitute Teaching Permit (ESS will apply for one on your behalf)
