About the position
The Lakeland Regional High School is seeking a County Certified Substitute or State Certified Teacher Substitute. The position is available immediately and will remain open until filled. The new substitute rates starting January 1, 2022, are $125.00 per day for State and County Certified Substitutes. Candidates must follow specific procedures to obtain the New Jersey Substitute Teacher Credential, which includes having a minimum of 60 completed credits or being at least 20 years of age with 30 completed credits from an accredited institution. Additionally, candidates must obtain Criminal History Approval from the State of New Jersey before employment can begin.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and support to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Follow lesson plans and maintain classroom management.
- Assess student performance and report back to the regular teacher.
- Ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 60 completed college credits or be at least 20 years old with 30 completed credits.
- Must provide evidence of enrollment in an accredited college program.
- Must obtain Criminal History Approval from the State of New Jersey.
