About the position

The Substitute Teacher position at The Odyssey Preparatory Academy Charter School involves working with students across all grade levels on a part-time basis. Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and educational activities in accordance with the curriculum.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the varying needs of students and ensure their engagement.
• Supervise and ensure the safety of students during classroom activities.

Requirements

• Availability to work a minimum of 4 days per month.
• An Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card is required.
• A Substitute Certificate (for degreed individuals) or an Emergency Substitute Certificate (for non-degreed individuals) from the Department of AZ Education is needed within 30 days of employment.
