The Substitute Teacher position at Gratiot-Isabella Area is designed for individuals who enjoy working with children and have at least 60 college credits. Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while the regular teacher is absent.
• Review and implement the regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration.

Requirements

• Minimum of 60 college credits needed to obtain substitute certification.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Completion of at least 60 college/university credit hours (official college transcripts required).
• FBI Criminal History Clearance.
• A Michigan Substitute Teaching Permit (cost of $45, application will be handled by the employer).
