About the position

As a Substitute Teacher at Guidepost Montessori, you will play a vital role in supporting our mixed-age Montessori classrooms, working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children. This position is designed for individuals who are flexible and willing to step in as needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are unavailable due to illness or vacation. While no formal Montessori training is required to apply, we will provide comprehensive training during your orientation and onboarding process to ensure you are well-prepared to support our educational philosophy and classroom environment. This on-call position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a Montessori setting and can serve as a stepping stone to a full-time role within our organization. Many of our substitutes have successfully transitioned into full-time Assistant Teacher positions as new openings arise. The hours and days you work will vary based on the needs of the school, providing you with the flexibility to manage your schedule while contributing to the development of young learners. At Guidepost Montessori, we are committed to fostering a community of trained educators who are passionate about transforming education. Our mission is to create an educational model that promotes independence and cultivates capable, action-oriented thinkers. By joining our team, you will be part of a movement to expand authentic Montessori programs both in the U.S. and globally.
