About the position

This opportunity is at Garrett-Keyser-Butler Community School District. As a substitute teacher with ESS Education, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education in the absence of regular teachers. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with classroom instruction by following and teaching lesson plans, aiding students in understanding the subject matter, and ensuring that regular classroom routines are adhered to. This position offers flexible hours, allowing you to work in various school districts across the country while contributing to the educational experience of students. In this role, you will be expected to provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms, review and implement the regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives. Establishing and maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment is essential, as is reporting any student injuries, illnesses, or serious discipline problems to school administration. Additionally, you may be required to perform other duties as directed by school administration, ensuring that the educational environment remains conducive to learning. Responsibilities

  • Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
  • Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives

  • Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Substitute Teacher Permit
  • Expanded Criminal History Clearance
  • Department of Child Services (DCS) Clearance
