About the position
As a Substitute Teacher at Arise Christian Academy, you will fill in for classroom teachers during their absence, ensuring that students continue to receive a nurturing and productive learning experience. Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to maintain continuity in instruction.
- Engage students actively, encouraging participation and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior with respect and consistency, following school policies.
- Adapt to different classroom settings, understanding each grade level's unique needs.
- Supervise students during classroom transitions and activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Complete a summary of the day's activities for the regular teacher's reference.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; a college degree or teaching experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments and handle classroom management.

- Must complete a background check and any required district training for substitute teachers.
