About The Position
As a Substitute Teacher K-12 with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience while enjoying the flexibility of choosing your own hours. This part-time position allows you to work Monday to Friday in San Diego, CA, with pay rates ranging from $168 to $221 per day, depending on your credentials and the specific assignment. Scoot Education prides itself on offering the highest pay rates among substitute providers, especially for long-term assignments. We are committed to supporting our educators by providing the necessary tools and resources to excel in the classroom. Our approach includes personalized support through 1:1 check-ins, where we discuss feedback from schools and listen to your preferences before matching you with assignments. You will have access to a dedicated Scoot consultant, many of whom are former teachers themselves, who can offer valuable teaching advice and guidance throughout your subbing journey. Additionally, we provide free online training that covers essential topics such as trauma-informed teaching and classroom management, ensuring you are well-prepared for your assignments. We also offer a range of benefits to our substitutes, including weekly pay, reimbursement for onboarding costs related to state background checks, and a referral program that rewards you and your friends with gift cards after they complete a certain number of shifts.
