About the position

The Substitute Teacher position at North Davis Preparatory Academy (NDPA) involves providing temporary instructional support for grades K-9. Substitutes will be called upon to fill in for regular teachers on short notice, ensuring continuity of education for students. NDPA is known for its unique international Spanish curriculum and aims to foster a love of learning and high academic achievement among its students.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to students in grades K-9 in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Follow lesson plans and adapt instruction as necessary to meet the needs of students.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.

Requirements

• Must be available to work on short notice.
• Experience or background in education is preferred.
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage students effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• Previous experience as a substitute teacher or in a similar role.
