About the position

Penmac Education Staffing is seeking Substitute Teachers for the Logan-Rogersville School District. This role is essential in providing quality education and maintaining a positive learning environment for students. Substitute Teachers will have the flexibility to create their own schedules and will receive weekly pay along with health and retirement benefit options.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria
• Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan

Requirements

• Have at least 36 college credit hours (in any subject) OR complete an online training program designated by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
• Obtain a Missouri Teaching License or Substitute Certificate
• Complete a fingerprint background check
• Complete required training provided by Penmac
