About the position

Copilot Careers is actively seeking hundreds of substitute teachers for various Oregon School Districts, including Hillsboro and Centennial School Districts. This role is designed for individuals who want to make a significant impact in the educational field while developing their career skills. The position offers a flexible schedule, making it an ideal opportunity for both certified substitute teachers and those without prior teaching experience. Our dedicated recruiting coordinators are available to assist you throughout the entire application and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition into your new role. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for carrying out the daily educational program in the absence of a regular teacher. This includes following and teaching lesson plans, aiding students in understanding the subject matter, and maintaining the regular classroom routines. You will have the opportunity to amplify and develop your teaching expertise while providing a great learning experience for students. Your role will be integral to the school's educational team, contributing to a positive and productive classroom environment. In this position, you will administer day-to-day lesson plans and provide quality instruction to students. It is essential to maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, report any student injuries or illnesses, and address serious discipline problems to the school administration. Additionally, you may be required to perform other duties as directed by the school administration, ensuring that the educational needs of the students are met effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Administer day to day lesson plan and provide quality instruction of classroom
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment

  • Perform additional duties as directed by school administration

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
