Join Teachers On Call as a substitute teacher or paraprofessional in the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted area for the 2024-2025 school year. Responsibilities

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans and policies.
• Lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher's existing lesson plans.
• Build positive relationships with students and encourage classroom participation.
• Create a conducive classroom environment appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Adapt to various learning styles of students.
• For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans and grade tests and assignments.
• Provide classroom assistance to the district/school teacher as a paraprofessional.
• Ensure adequate supervision of students and maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Assist students in transitions between classrooms and address their individual needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED for Paraprofessional positions.
• Bachelor's degree with MN Teaching or Substitute License for Substitute Teacher positions.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
• No prior experience necessary; training is provided.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Visual Basic is a plus.
