About the position

We are hiring substitutes for Miami Dade County Public Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is essential in ensuring that students continue to learn and grow every day, as substitutes are crucial in maintaining the educational process when regular teachers are unavailable. Substituting is not just a job; it is an opportunity to be a mentor and help students become the best versions of themselves. As a substitute teacher, you may also be referred to as a substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher. Similarly, substitute aides may be known as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aides, instructional assistants, classroom assistants, or education assistants. This position is rewarding and offers a chance to make a significant impact on students' lives. The minimum educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or GED. No previous experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enter the education field. Substitutes will have the ability to build a flexible work schedule that suits their needs, select preferred school locations, and enjoy weekly pay. Additionally, paid orientation on district policies and procedures will be provided, along with free online classroom management training to help you become a capable and confident classroom leader.
