About the position

The Hueneme Elementary School District is seeking substitute teachers who must possess either a 30-day substitute permit or a California Teaching Credential. Substitute teachers will be compensated based on their assignment level, with daily rates varying for elementary and junior high schools. Additionally, there are bonuses available for substitute teachers based on the number of days served within a single school year, with specific rates for long-term assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Follow lesson plans and maintain classroom management.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback as necessary.

Requirements

• Must have either a 30-day substitute permit or a California Teaching Credential.

Benefits

• Daily pay of $210.00 for Elementary Schools and $225.00 for Junior High Schools.
• Bonuses of $250 after 30 days, $500 after 90 days, and another $500 after 120 days of service in a single school year.
• Long-term assignment pay of $225.00 per day for Elementary Schools and $240.00 per day for Junior High Schools after 10 consecutive days.
