About the position

We are hiring for Substitute Teachers in Stratford Public Schools. Remember that educator who made a difference in your life? Now it's your turn! Substitute Teachers may also be referred to as Substitute Educator, Guest Teacher or Relief Teacher. Substituting is rewarding, and we would love for you to join our team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will assume the duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. You will lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher's existing lesson plans and instructing students on classroom topics and courses. Building positive relationships with students is crucial, as is assigning reasonable tasks and homework. You will empower students to learn and encourage classroom participation while building a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students. Additionally, you will need to adapt to the various learning styles of students. For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lesson plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 174 form if Bachelor's degree is not completed
