About the position

The Substitute Teacher position with ESS in partnership with Traverse Bay Area ISD is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and have a minimum of 60 college credits. This role is crucial in maintaining the educational process when regular teachers are absent, ensuring that students continue to receive quality instruction and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration

Requirements

• Completion of at least 60 college/university credit hours
• FBI Criminal History Clearance
• A Michigan Substitute Teaching Permit
