The Substitute Teacher position at Bellaire Public Schools, facilitated by ESS, is designed for individuals ready to make a significant impact on education during the 2023-24 school year. As a substitute teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the educational program in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring that students continue to receive quality instruction and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while the regular teacher is absent.
• Review and implement the regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration.
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration.

Requirements

• Completion of at least 60 college/university credit hours (Official College Transcripts will be requested).
• FBI Criminal History Clearance.
• A Michigan Substitute Teaching Permit (ESS will apply for one on your behalf; your cost is $45).
