About the position

The Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year to work in its Fairhaven school-age program. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction to students with developmental disabilities, ensuring that educational needs are met through tailored lesson plans and a supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students with developmental disabilities in approved or adapted curriculum areas.
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans consistent with students' Individual Education Plans.
• Maintain classrooms conducive to learning.
• Conduct conferences with parents/guardians or other personnel.

Requirements

• Must have a Substitute Teaching License or be in the process of obtaining licensure from the Ohio Department of Education as an Intervention Specialist K-12 Moderate/Intensive.

Benefits

• Substitute hourly rate of $23.50 an hour.
