About the position

The Substitute Teacher at ESS plays a crucial role in maintaining educational continuity by providing instruction in the absence of regular teachers. This position involves following lesson plans, supporting students in their learning, and ensuring that classroom routines are adhered to, all while fostering a safe and orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration

Requirements

• Completion of at least 60 college/university credit hours (An Official copy of college transcripts will be required)
• State/FBI Criminal History Clearance
• A Michigan Substitute Teaching Permit or Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
