About the position

The Substitute Teacher at Children's Land is responsible for creating a nurturing, vibrant, and stimulating learning environment for children. This role involves floating between various locations and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children while adhering to educational and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the children by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
• Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and cooperative working environment.
• Adhere to all DCFS licensing rules and regulations.
• Follow all Children's policies and procedures.
• Provide active supervision and focused attention for the children in care.
• Use best judgment to act in the best interests of the children at all times.
• Respond to each individual child's needs promptly.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and orderly environment which promotes active learning.
• Maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Previous experience working with infants to young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Patience and a genuine love for working with young children.
