About the position

The Substitute Teacher position at Guidepost Montessori is an on-call role that supports multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms. No formal Montessori training is required, as training will be provided during orientation. This role serves as a pathway to potential full-time positions within the school, particularly as Assistant Teachers, as substitutes often transition into these roles when openings arise.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for full-time teachers who are out sick or on vacation.
• Support multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms as needed.
• Engage with children in a warm and friendly manner.

Requirements

• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Valid state background check.
• Warm and friendly demeanor.

Nice-to-haves

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
• Recent teaching experience with children aged 0-6.
