About the position

The Substitute Teacher at Leona Group Schools is responsible for managing student learning in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment while implementing lesson plans that motivate students. This role is crucial in maintaining the educational standards and supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of students across various grade levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive learning environment for all students and a professional relationship with all staff in accordance with school policy.
• Ensures adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students.
• Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Candidate must hold a valid Arizona Substitute Certificate or Arizona Teaching Certificate.
• IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Benefits

• Contract position with a pay rate of $33 an hour.
