About the position

The Substitute Teacher position at Fusion Academy is designed to provide a supportive and student-centered classroom environment for grades 6-12. The role emphasizes compassion, emotional security, and critical thinking, while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of students through a differentiated teaching approach. The position includes significant mentoring responsibilities alongside subject matter tutoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide a one-to-one teaching experience to Fusion students grades 6-12.
• Adapt and differentiate instruction for all students to promote holistic growth.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress.
• Develop and maintain positive communication with parents.
• Contribute to the campus community and participate in professional development.
• Mentor students and support their academic and emotional needs.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Solid subject matter knowledge at grade levels 6-12.
• Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is a plus.
• Teaching credentials are a plus but not mandatory.
• Competence in basic computer skills.
