As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for following the lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teachers, ensuring that the educational experience remains uninterrupted. You will arrive at the school by 7:25 AM to review the day's plans and meet with your grade-level partner. Throughout the day, you will maintain high expectations for academic performance while also attending to the social and emotional needs of all students. Collaboration with other teachers and administration is essential, especially when addressing any concerns that may arise during your time in the classroom. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and a State Teacher Certificate is preferred. The position is part-time, with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour, equivalent to $150.00 for an 8-hour day. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a classroom environment that supports the social and emotional health of all students.
  • Learn and implement the social emotional health model used in classrooms.
  • Work positively with all children in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and administration regarding student concerns.
  • Teach lessons designed by the classroom teachers.
  • Schedule teaching assignments with the Operations Administrator and School Dean or Principal.
  • Arrive on scheduled days at 7:25 AM to review substitute plans and meet with grade level partner.
  • Follow the teacher's schedule throughout the day and leave a summary of work completed before leaving for the day.
  • Leave at 3:10 PM after student dismissal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
