Responsibilities

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
• Lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher's existing lesson plans
• Instruct students on classroom topics/courses
• Build positive relationships with students
• Assign reasonable tasks and homework
• Empower students to learn and encourage classroom participation
• Build a classroom environment that's conducive to learning and appropriate to the ability and interests of students
• Adapt to the various learning styles of students
• For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments

Requirements

• Substitute Teacher - 60 college credits; 30 if enrolled in a college program and over 20 years old
• Substitute Paraprofessional - High School Diploma
