About the position
The position of Substitute Teacher involves providing instructional support in the absence of regular teachers. Substitute Teachers may also be called upon to fill in for Substitute Nurses, Substitute Teacher Assistants, and Substitute Secretaries as needed. The role requires effective communication with students and staff, reliability, and adherence to district policies and training requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support in the absence of regular teachers.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff members, both verbally and in writing.
- Attend District Substitute Training as scheduled.
- Complete online training tutorials as assigned.
Requirements
- Must hold a NJ Teaching License or a NJ Substitute Teacher License.
- NJ Substitute Teacher License requires a minimum of 60 college credits.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff members.
- Must be reliable and of good moral character.
- Must meet criminal background check.
Benefits
- Salary: $150.00 per diem, $21.43 per hour (7 hours per day)
