About the position

The Niagara Falls City School District is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers for both elementary and secondary levels. This role is essential in maintaining the continuity of education for students when regular teachers are unavailable. As a Building Based Substitute, you will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students remain engaged and productive during their time in the classroom. The ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree and have a passion for education and working with children. Substitute Teachers will be expected to adapt to various classroom environments and be flexible in their teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. This position is part-time and operates on a per diem basis, meaning that you will be called upon as needed to fill in for absent teachers. The pay structure for the 2024/2025 school year is set at $175 per day for certified teachers and $140 per day for uncertified teachers. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in the educational field while contributing positively to the learning environment of the Niagara Falls City School District.
