About the position

The Restaurant Assistant Manager (RAM) at Circle K assists the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that the restaurant meets operational standards and provides excellent guest service. The RAM leads and coaches team members, manages food preparation and safety, and handles administrative tasks in the absence of the RM. This role is crucial for maintaining a positive work environment and achieving financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Supervise the team in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
  • Provide excellent guest service in a fast and friendly manner.
  • Conduct second interviews for team members and shift leads.
  • Maintain a clean restaurant environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Assign shift duties to team members and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Direct team to ensure food items are prepared and served according to regulations.
  • Coach team members on food preparation and production management.
  • Cascades relevant information to team members and assist with new product training.
  • Ensure product quality, food safety, and operational standards are met.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of cash, sales, and inventory control records.
  • Complete end of shift and end of day paperwork and counts as required.
  • Communicate any discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and end of period paperwork in the absence of the RM.
  • Guarantee a safe environment for team members and guests by following safety codes.
  • Complete reports on all incidents following the 5-minute rule policy.
  • Partner with the RM to ensure financial and operational metrics are met.

Requirements

  • Full-time availability during all hours of operation, including pre-opening and post-closing.
  • Valid state Driver's License required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and lead team members.

  • Team player who can work well with others or independently.
