About the position
As a Sandwich Artist® at Subway, you will be the face of a global brand, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing delicious sandwiches. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensuring their satisfaction with every order. This position involves greeting customers, maintaining food safety standards, and handling light paperwork, making you a key member of the team.
Responsibilities
- Greet and serve guests with a cheerful and helpful manner.
- Prepare food neatly and in a timely manner according to Subway's formulas.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them accurately to guests.
- Use the Point of Sale system to record orders and compute bills.
- Collect payments from guests and provide change as necessary.
- Perform cash-in procedures, accounting for all forms of money during the shift.
- Check products in the sandwich unit area and restock items as needed.
- Adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during food preparation and service.
- Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image.
- Complete light paperwork duties as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the Subway Operations Manual.
- Complete University of Subway courses as directed.
Requirements
- Some high school education or equivalent is required.
- No previous experience is required.
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to work in any area of the restaurant as needed and operate a computerized Point of Sale system.
