About The Position

The Shamrock Students Professional Internship Program is an 11-week internship designed to provide hands-on training and real project experience within the Shamrock Foods Company. Interns will work closely with their departments while collaborating with fellow interns on various projects, contributing to the company's operations and learning valuable skills in a professional environment.

Requirements

• 1+ year(s) educational experience and currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must live in or near Phoenix, Arizona.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• Demonstrates expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to learn and act in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective task management.
• High level of motivation and adaptability.
• Great attitude and desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the automation engineering department in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist with the Obsolescence Conveyor Project by identifying obsoleted or no longer used items in spare parts inventory.
• Record speed, motor size, gear ratio, model type, and location of all conveyors in the building.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
