About the position

The Cybersecurity Intern position at TSMC Arizona offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity within a leading global semiconductor company. Interns will work in the Proprietary Information Protection (PIP) Department, focusing on safeguarding critical information assets and ensuring compliance with security policies. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to contribute to a team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard the company's critical information assets, infrastructure, and information systems against cyber threats.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls and protection measures.
  • Ensure compliance with company security policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at the Phoenix location during the specified internship period.
  • Understanding of fundamental cybersecurity concepts and familiarity with common cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Understanding of network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and antivirus systems.
  • Ability to conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and compliance checks, including vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
  • Programming skills in languages such as C++ and Java are a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
  • Strong communication, computer, presentation, and teamwork skills.
