Summer 2025 Data Engineer Internship

About the position

T-Mobile is offering a 12-week paid internship for a Data Engineer Intern, focusing on Azure Databricks and Machine Learning. This role provides hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines and working with large-scale data analysis, while contributing to innovative data architectures and AI products. Interns will have the opportunity to connect with mentors and other interns, enhancing their skills and making a meaningful impact within the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Databricks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Design and implement Azure Data Factory pipelines for efficient data processing and orchestration.
• Design and develop machine learning models and deep learning systems to solve complex problems.
• Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate model performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to extract insights and train machine learning models.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation tasks related to Azure infrastructure and data processing.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning libraries.
• Proven experience in machine learning, data analysis, and software engineering.
• Strong background in statistics, probability, and linear algebra.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure/AWS/Snowflake).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have graduated within the last 12 months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program.
