About the position

The Equity Research Summer MBA Internship at Janus Henderson is a 10-week program designed for MBA students to gain hands-on experience in equity research. Interns will work closely with equity research analysts on specific sector teams, conducting fundamental research, performing qualitative and quantitative analyses, and developing financial models. This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts and contribute to investment recommendations in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with equity research analysts on a specific sector team.
• Perform fundamental research on industries, end-markets, companies, and/or products under the direction of a PM/senior equity research analyst.
• Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative analyses, such as market segmentation, competitive analysis, forecasting, data trends, and primary research.
• Develop expertise in data resources, such as Bloomberg, to aid the research process.
• Build financial and valuation models.
• Deliver presentations to discuss investment conclusions and recommendations to the sector and portfolio teams.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a 2-year MBA program with a graduation date in 2026.
• Strong academic record.
• Demonstrated interest in finance, investment management, and/or economics.
• Exceptional analytical and research skills.
• Basic accounting knowledge, including experience with financial modeling.
• Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
