About the position

Baker Tilly is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Capital Formation Team. This role involves providing financial advisory services to clients during critical business transactions such as sales, buyouts, carve-outs, and refinancing. The Financial Analyst will work closely with Partners and Managers to evaluate proposed transactions, negotiate terms, and assist clients in achieving their financial objectives. Responsibilities

• Evaluating the appropriateness of proposed transactions relative to the business strategy of clients
• Teaming with potential borrowers to determine the structure of proposed transactions
• Negotiating a term sheet with borrowers and investors on behalf of the client
• Financial modeling for transactions
• Preparing write-ups and underwriting of transactions for board meetings
• Assisting clients to locate and vet transactions, if necessary
• Educating potential lenders and community stakeholders to participate in transactions
• General consulting to assist clients in achieving their objectives

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience in financial advisory or investment banking is a plus

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with capital markets
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
• Familiarity with transaction structuring and underwriting processes
