About the position

The Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP) internship at Walmart offers exceptional students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting within a fast-paced corporate environment. This 10-week summer internship is designed to develop leadership potential and may lead to a full-time position in a rigorous two-year rotational program upon graduation. Interns will work on strategic projects, gain exposure to senior leadership, and participate in various activities that foster professional growth and networking.

Responsibilities

• Work on challenging and innovative projects that drive business value.
• Support various areas of the organization including Strategy, Operations, and Merchandising.
• Gain broad finance and/or accounting experience through on-the-job training.
• Present findings and projects to executive leadership.
• Participate in case study workshops and competitions.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Business, Strategy or related fields.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Expected graduation in December 2025 or May 2026.
• Demonstrated ability to grasp concepts quickly and solve complex business problems.
