About the position

ALSAC's Internship Program offers an immersive experience where interns dive into our culture, contribute to organizational goals through meaningful projects, and build relationships with team members and senior leadership. Over the course of 10 weeks, interns are paired with a day-to-day manager and given significant assignments, gaining a true understanding of what it means to be part of ALSAC/St. Jude. Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance and Accounting team while working cross functionally to improve business processes and reporting.
• Work with accounting professionals to gain experience in general accounting, accounting systems, tax, and treasury.
• Create journal entries, General Ledger account reconciliations, variance analysis, process improvements and documentation, and ad hoc requests as needed.
• Participate in the Summer Intern Innovation Project through cross-functional collaboration.
• Present accomplishments to the CFO at the end of the rotation.

Requirements

• A passion for our mission!
• Must be undergraduate, graduate, or graduation as of Spring 2025.
• Comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice-to-haves

• Majors preferred: Accounting.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Excellent written and communication skills required.
