The Federal Reserve Board (Board) offers a unique opportunity for students through its Summer 2025 Internship program in Business Operations & Program Management. This program is designed to provide valuable work experience for undergraduate and graduate students who are considering careers in various fields such as economics, finance, accounting, information systems, and data analysis. The Board believes that by combining academic endeavors with project-related work experience, students can gain the practical knowledge necessary to thrive in a competitive global job market. Internships are paid positions, with salaries commensurate with credit hours, and may be conducted in-person, remotely, or in a hybrid format depending on the needs of the team. Interns will be assigned to the Business Operations & Program Management (BOPM) team, which serves as the business support team within the Division of International Finance. The intern will assist with a variety of projects aimed at enhancing staff engagement, fostering an inclusive workplace culture, and supporting business practices for optimized performance. The BOPM team is involved in employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives, strategic planning, leadership and career development, onboarding, recruiting, analytics and reporting, travel, and communication programs. Interns will have the opportunity to learn and work across these functional areas, performing assignments that can be tailored to their interests. The internship will involve conducting research to identify best practices, writing and editing content for publication, developing visuals and graphics, providing planning and logistics support for events, enhancing internal SharePoint sites, conducting data analysis, and assisting with strategic communications related to the travel program. Interns are expected to share recommendations and insights for process improvements, demonstrating agility, curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The internship will also include access to a syllabus or research project plan outlining the projects and goals, regular check-ins with a supervisor or mentor, and opportunities for professional development through various training programs and events.
