About the position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago offers a Summer Intern Program designed for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students to gain direct exposure to the Bank's operations. This paid internship lasts 10-12 weeks, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, and provides opportunities to engage in project-based assignments and professional development activities aligned with the Bank's mission. Interns will work in a collaborative environment that fosters inclusion and reflects the diverse communities served by the Bank.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Chicago Federal Reserve employees on various projects across Event Management, focusing on Event Planning and Operations.
  • Assist, register, and direct guests upon arrival to the conference center.
  • Assist with producing online and hybrid events.
  • Assist with logistics of event setup, communications, and client contact using Event Management Tool.
  • Assist with data gathering for metrics reporting.
  • Create reports and provide analysis on the metrics gathered.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Current, matriculated student in an accredited program graduating August 2024 or later.
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA (unofficial transcripts may be requested).
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week throughout the internship.
