About the position

As a Marketing intern at Stryker, you will have the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a fast-paced and growing industry setting. This internship is designed for students who are eager to implement new ideas, be constantly challenged, and develop their skills in a supportive environment. You will network with key stakeholders and leaders within the business, gaining valuable insights and experience that will help you in your future career. The internship will involve completing projects that revolve around medical education, marketing operations, brand management, and portfolio management, allowing you to gain a comprehensive understanding of the marketing function within a global leader in medical technology. You will be placed in one of several teams, including Downstream Marketing, Upstream Marketing, or Marketing Communications. In Downstream Marketing, you will participate in key commercialization activities, develop campaigns, and gather customer insights to aid in the creation and validation of various marketing strategies. In Upstream Marketing, you will engage in product development activities and strategic marketing initiatives, managing projects that align with customer needs. In Marketing Communications, you will partner with internal and external entities to develop marketing collateral, ensuring brand consistency and assisting in the execution of Stryker's communication strategy. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students majoring in Marketing, Business, Business Administration/Management, or Communications to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply classroom knowledge and gain experience in a fast-paced and growing industry setting
  • Implement new ideas and develop skills
  • Network with key/high-level stakeholders and leaders of the business
  • Complete projects related to medical education, marketing/operations, brand management, and portfolio management
  • Participate in key commercialization activities such as developing campaigns, messaging, and positioning in Downstream Marketing
  • Gain field experience with sales members and surgeons operating in the US
  • Gather customer insights to aid in the creation and validation of various statements, campaigns, and commercial models
  • Participate in product development activities and strategic marketing initiatives in Upstream Marketing
  • Manage projects between R&D, Marketing, and customer insights
  • Partner with internal and external entities to develop marketing collateral in Marketing Communications
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of Stryker's communication strategy, including web, advertising, and direct marketing efforts

Requirements

  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
