About the position

The Summer 2025 Internship in BioSafety at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of biosafety, which is crucial for the manufacturing of biological therapies. Interns will shadow experienced staff, engage in biological testing, and learn about GMP regulations while performing lab management tasks. This internship is designed for students majoring in relevant scientific fields and provides exposure to various biosafety techniques and practices.

Responsibilities

• Shadow all levels of staff in multiple areas of Biosafety.
• Gain exposure to biological testing and techniques relevant to the industry.
• Participate in hands-on experience through non-GMP laboratory activities.
• Highlight documentation and basic GMP regulations.
• Perform lab management tasks, including maintenance and organization of space and equipment.
• Complete tasks independently following training.
• Manage time effectively and take initiative for recurring assignments.
• Adhere to safety guidelines for lab work and demonstrate attention to detail.

Requirements

• Must have completed sophomore year in a relevant scientific field.
• Must live within a commutable distance from Lancaster, PA.
• Technical writing skills.
• Presentation skills.
• Public speaking skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with cell culture, chromatography, molecular instrumentation, virus stocks, and BSL2.
