The Ally internship program seeks to guide and mentor students with development opportunities designed to provide a bridge between the academic world and the world of business. The Strategic Risk Management team comprises of 3 unique functions to support the business and customers: Data Solutions, Loss Forecasting & Reserving, and Sales Performance. In Data Solutions, you will partner with the business to consult and translate business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization. Success in this role requires working in an agile team, enjoying complex problem-solving, and the ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format. The Loss Forecasting & Reserving function involves executing the Loss Forecasting and Allowance production, aggregation, and reporting for the Auto Retail Portfolio, necessitating a heavy analytical skill set and education in finance, economics, mathematics, and data intelligence. In Sales Performance, you will partner with senior leaders to create and execute incentive plans for Ally employees to achieve business objectives, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of risk management. The Product Management team relentlessly innovates, delivers, and optimizes Ally's Auto origination products and services for customers. This includes enabling strategies and products through consumer credit acquisition, managing business configurable solutions, coordinating delivery of initiatives, and driving process improvement and automation. Success in this area requires proficiency in various tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Jira. The Consumer Strategy & Decision Science team leads consumer auto strategy development and optimization using data and analytics. Key skills for success include strong problem-solving ability, learning agility, intellectual curiosity, technical proficiency, and communication skills. The internship program runs from May 20, 2025, to August 1, 2025, and offers hands-on experience in your area of study, leadership and career development experiences, networking opportunities, and participation in an executive speaking series.
