About the position

ADP is hiring a Data Science/Machine Learning Intern for the Summer 2025 internship program. In this role, you will engage in advanced analytics and predictive modeling, where you will formulate problems, extract and analyze data from multiple systems, summarize critical findings, and develop compelling visual representations of analyses with actionable recommendations. You will interact with developers, UX designers, product managers, and senior executives to understand the problem domain, project requirements, and user experience, demonstrating model performance and its business value. You will also own and manage projects, identifying, designing, developing, and implementing advanced analytical projects. The internship offers limitless possibilities for learning and discovering new ways to leverage ADP data to create new products and services while finding more insights. Collaboration and communication are key aspects of this role, as you will be part of a collaborative team, listening to needs, and finding and sharing solutions. You will be comfortable and skilled at presenting your projects and findings to both peers and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate problems and extract & analyze data from multiple systems.
  • Summarize critical findings and develop visual representations of analyses with actionable recommendations.
  • Interact with developers, UX designers, product managers, and senior executives to understand project requirements and demonstrate model performance.
  • Identify, design, develop, and implement advanced analytical projects.
  • Continuously learn and discover new ways to leverage ADP data for insights and innovation.
  • Collaborate with team members to find and share solutions, presenting findings to peers and leadership.

Requirements

  • Completed at least 3 years of a 4-year Bachelor's degree or 1 year of a 2-year Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Prior experience in Java, C++, SQL; Distributed computing tools such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, or Apache Spark; Oracle, MongoDB; Data visualization tools such as Tableau.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
