About the position

The Summer 2025 Internship in Healthcare Operations at Versiti offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of blood operations within a non-profit healthcare environment. Interns will rotate through key operational departments, including Blood Operations, Donor Recruitment, Supply Chain, and Hospital Services, while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. This internship aims to enhance the interns' understanding of healthcare administration and operations, contributing to improved patient outcomes and community health.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional CapStone Intern Project with report out to Executive Leadership.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
• Participate and contribute to department meetings, executing on goals and objectives to deliver outstanding results.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.
• Understand and perform in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Comply with all standard operating policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program in a related field of the internship.
• Completed a minimum of 2 years in college/university in a related field of study for the internship preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred.
