About the position

The Summer 2025 Internship in Legal / Media Law and First Amendment at Dow Jones offers law students the opportunity to work within the legal department, focusing on issues related to publication, access to information, and free-speech laws. This hybrid internship will take place in New York City and will involve collaboration with litigation and press attorneys over a ten-week period.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research
  • Draft memoranda
  • Help resolve daily issues that arise in publishing
  • Be exposed to matters involving business transactions, labor and employment law, and intellectual property

Requirements

  • One or two years of law school completed (first or second-year law student)
  • Demonstrated interest in and commitment to media law and a free press
