About the position

This internship position focuses on developing and validating cleaning procedures for CIP systems in a food processing environment. The role provides valuable hands-on experience in food sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), while also involving collaboration with various departments to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CIP Manual for 5 CIP systems and validate CIP and wash cycles with Chemserve.
  • Update lab procedures to align with new DFA procedure formats and ensure compliance with Standard Methods for the Examination of Dairy Products and Corporate Procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Sanitation Supervisor and QA Manager on sanitation PM programs.
  • Develop effective filler clean procedures and a training program for fillers.
  • Monitor plant sanitation and GMPs daily to maintain high sanitation standards.
  • Assist with other assignments in the QA department as needed.

Requirements

  • Sophomore, junior, or senior in the fall of 2025 with a degree focus in Dairy Science, Food Science, Food Processing, or a related field.
