About the position

The Kroger Summer Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience designed for students to enhance their careers through focused internship assignments in retail management. Interns will engage in hands-on learning, lead projects, and connect with industry leaders while gaining exposure to various aspects of store operations, marketing, merchandising, and more. The program emphasizes the company's core values and aims to develop professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and refine professional skills during the internship.
• Work alongside industry leaders and connect with other students.
• Gain an overview of store operations, marketing, merchandising, purchasing, supply chain management, financial analysis, and human resources.
• Participate in job shadowing with store management.
• Complete a designated retail project and present it to division leadership.
• Perform special assignments as requested.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to navigate change and respond positively to challenges.
• Demonstrate initiative and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to providing superior customer service.
